Top Tips for Avoiding Burnout: Social Media Manager

The life of a social media manager involves a lotttt of juggling ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ You really have to have your hands on everything ๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿปโ€๐Ÿ’ป๐Ÿ“ธ๐Ÿ“ฑ๐ŸŽ™๐Ÿ•ฐ

Here are my top 4 tips to avoid burnout:

1) Create a priority focused to-do list the night before. Youโ€™ll wake up ready to crush the day and feeling in control of your dayโ€™s productivity. No on the fly โ€œwhat do I need to do today??โ€ moments!

2) Utilize a calendar (physical or online) to stay on top of deadlines and posting schedules. We like @notion!

3) Build your priorities into time blocks. With so many different types or responsibilities on your plate each day, breaking them into blocks can really help you stay focused. If I know my day is going to consist of content creation, influencer partnerships and paid media, Iโ€™ll schedule each responsibility into itโ€™s own time block. Dedicated focus on one subject is much more efficient than jumping back and forth between a few.

4) Take regular breaks! As humans, we can only stare at a phone/computer screen for so long ๐Ÿค“ go for a walk, soak up some sunshine, eat a distraction-free lunch, journal โ€” anything that encourages you to feel present in the real world and move out of the digital world. Even just 5-10 minutes can work wonders!

As important as social media is for individuals and businesses everywhere, your health and wellbeing always comes first. You canโ€™t pour from an empty glass!

Burnout is inevitable (across all industries) but limiting burnout is essential. You can serve your clients best when you feel your best.

Itโ€™s a crazy ride. And wouldnโ€™t trade it for the world ๐ŸŒŽ๐Ÿ˜‡
