My top 5 things to consider when hiring a videographer -- from a professional videographer:
✨Have a plan✨
Come up with a story line and send examples of what you like to your videographer.
Include hook points or a call to action.
Ask yourself what is the purpose of this video… to be informative or artistic/cool?
Be as prepared as possible when going into a video shoot involving audio/script. Don’t just wing it!
✨Know your look✨
What do you want your feed to look like? Choose your location accordingly.
Light & Bright Look = white interiors, daylight outdoor areas, gold hour footage, happy music, etc
Dark & Moody Look = darker interiors, alley ways, nighttime shots, black clothing, blue hour, etc.
✨Discuss your budget✨
✨Have patience✨
Turn around time depends on a lot...! Length of the video, adding text, audio/closed captioning creation, music selections, color grading, revisions, etc.
✨Continue the relationship & rehire the same videographer ✨
This is under the notion that you were at least 70% pleased with their work.
The more consistent you work with a freelancer, the better your content will become. A relationship and good understanding will be established and i promise you it’s wayyyyy better then starting from square one with a new videographer.
